Liver Organoid

Liver Organoid_main

  • Liver organoids replicate the intricate cellular composition of the human liver, facilitating detailed studies on liver biology and function.
▶ Replicate human liver for detailed studies on biology and function.
  • They enable modeling of liver diseases such as hepatitis and liver fibrosis, aiding in the understanding of disease mechanisms and potential therapies.
▶ Model hepatitis, fibrosis, aid disease understanding, therapy development.
  • Liver organoids mimic human liver metabolism, making them valuable for studying drug metabolism, toxicity, and personalized medicine approaches.

Applications

Inflammatory liver diseases

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) refers to a chronic condition characterized by inflammation within the gastrointestinal tract, causing inflammation of the intestinal walls.

Fatty liver disease

Lambda's Intestinal Fibrosis Model addresses these challenges by leveraging high mimetic human intestinal organoids to create a model of inflammatory bowel diseases.

Infectious Disease

As a virus-infected model, the
utilization of tonsil, adenoid, and lung organoids allows for the evaluation of antiviral drug efficacy and facilitates virus research.

Table of Contents

Generation process of mature human midbrain organoid

Our hPSC-derived liver organoids resemble real liver organs, enabling more accurate and reliable experimental results.

Cellular and structural similarity

Liver organoids can be observed in a mature form with hepatic layers, bile duct structures architecture similar to actual liver tissue. They are also composed of various cells such as hepatocytes, cholangiocytes, Kupffer cells, stellate cells.

Structural characteristics of  liver organoids

Differentiated technology of liver organoids

Our liver organoids more accurately mimic the functional characteristics of the liver compared to experiments using traditional HepG2 hepatocyte cell lines, allowing for more precise and varied experiments.

Fatty Liver Model

To induce a fatty liver model, we treated the liver organoids with free fatty acids.
It was confirmed that markers such as HNF4A, Albumin, and CYP3A4, which are indicative of healthy hepatocyte function, decreased in the damaged model.
This model can be used to evaluate effective substances related to fatty liver disease treatment.
